Anna Collection
Anna, a prophetess in the New Testament, is a remarkable figure of devout faith and dedication. Mentioned in the Gospel of Luke, Anna was of the tribe of Asher and was widowed after only seven years of marriage. She spent the rest of her life, well into her eighties, in the temple, worshiping with fasting and prayer day and night. Her life was one of unwavering devotion to God. When Mary and Joseph brought the infant Jesus to the temple for the purification rites required by the Law of Moses, Anna recognized Him as the long-awaited Messiah. She gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem. Anna's story highlights the virtues of steadfast faith, patient waiting, and the joy of witnessing God's promises fulfilled.
