Hannah Collection
Hannah, a central figure in the first book of Samuel, is celebrated for her profound faith and perseverance. Married to Elkanah, Hannah endured the deep pain of childlessness, compounded by the taunting of Elkanah's other wife, Peninnah, who had children. Despite her anguish, Hannah's response was one of fervent prayer and trust in God. She prayed earnestly at the temple, vowing that if God granted her a son, she would dedicate him to the Lord’s service for all his life. God answered her prayers, and she gave birth to Samuel, who would become one of Israel's greatest prophets. True to her vow, Hannah brought Samuel to the temple to serve under Eli the priest. Her story is one of unwavering faith, the power of prayer, and the fulfillment of divine promises, and her hymn of thanksgiving is a testament to God's faithfulness and sovereignty.
